When the guy on third calls for a bunt you need the guy in the box to believe and trust that’s what best for the team to win. When an entire lineup proves over and over they can’t get a guy from first to second by putting the ball in play you going to see a lot of bunts. It’s not like they didn’t have their chances to keep the bat in their hands. I promise you whoever they interviewed or gets the job will be someone who believes in the bunt.
2 teams in 20 makes them exceptional.

Bunting says I don't trust you to get a hit.

    A sqagger killer.

It forces the next 2 batters to hit at least .500

2 teams With the most attitude..are you gonna have 25 teams with the most attitude? A guys .150 batting average says i don’t trust you are going to get a hit not a bunt. Him going 0-15 with RISP says i don’t trust you to get a hit. So let’s see if you can at least manage to get a bunt down.

Food for thought..... Most sacrifice hits (bunts) in the country this past year..... Louisiana & Long Beach with 67. Right behind them at 66 your 2018 CWS champions, Oregon State.

I won't argue that proves a correlation between championships and bunting but I think we can also put to rest the idea that bunting kills a program as well.

Every player, except McKinnnon, coming to the plate for the Cajuns this past year was swinging on 95% of their AB's. If being asked to sacrifice less than 5% of the time kills your swagger its probably time for snowflake to move on. And I don't think there is much argument which came first.... the lack of hitting or the bunt.

I thought you knew the plan..

Our fictitious character is hitting .150 because of all the missed at bats in the fall from practicing the bunt.

That, and every bunt lowers his batting average, so you can say "see, he needs to bunt."

I knew who it was not. All I knew was the hierarchy of the existing coaches which I think you’ll find to be true. As for who the new hire is, based on what I’ve read on this site, you may have been knowing for quite a while. LOL !

I’ve actually been impressed by what you’ve known and told the ppl posting that you were a tech fan to lay off. You were too accurate.

Look at bunts per plate appearances.

Oregon State's percentage is way lower than UL's.

I would be interested to see if you can prove/confirm this.

Wondering how long this will go on. I remember all those bunts from Jace and Caleb because they couldn’t hit....

"fictitious character" so no I can't.

However Robichaux said lost (practice) at bats led to lower batting averages.
