There’s no doubt the man can recruit. As long as he stays away from our hitters, I would gladly have him as our recruiting coordinator.

I have no personal vendetta. I'm just a fan, a season ticket holder and I love my university... BUT

I'm not a big "highest rated class" guy. What have they done on our diamond for the Ragin Cajuns? Last year we batted .242 as a team. We had 16 home runs.. as a team. We have 5 players that had 200 plus at bats and of those 5 only 2 of them batted over .300. Who is responsible for these stats?

    Look at these names:
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team has signed nine players to a national letter of intent for the 2017 season, head coach Tony Robichaux announced on Monday.

The Cajuns have inked Josh Aguilar (Dallas, Texas), Caleb Armstrong (Monroe, La.), Oliver Campbell (Monroe, La.), Haden Erbe (Lafayette, La.), Eric Moll (Kingwood, Texas), Todd Lott (Jacksonville, Fla.), Colten Schmidt (Houston, Texas), Tremaine Spears (Alexandra, La.), and Josh Taylor (Breaux Bridge, La.) to the 2016 signing class.

So we are gonna just omit all the accomplishments? Pretty sure LSU, Florida and all the top programs recruit guys that don’t work out. If it was easy you could do it. Have no perspective on guys like Cantrelle, kasuls, Monica, etc...if the head coach thinks he is getting guys we couldn’t normally get that’s what matters. Tony will be the one to live with the results. I sure hope some of you have more perspective and a broader mind in your everyday lives than y’all do on here. You know even GOD “Matt deggs” has recruited guys that didn’t work out. As long as he isn’t in charge of hitting none of your hitting stats matter moving forward.

I agree in the end it is Tony's decision and I'm fine with that. I'm just not willing to quantify something based on their merits before college and what they do when they are in summer leagues.

    I want to see it.

You are insistent on reading something that isn't there.

Everyone does but the season is over. They are making changes what else do you want? Talbot is a very good recruiter.

Maybe you are, people like to pick out thing to justify their place. Every coach I’m charge of recruiting misses on guys. Every single one and at the end of the day talbot isn’t the one who sends them packing. Wher is Johnny Rizer? Cord cockerel? Not everybody who leaves here ends up picking up cans either.

    I’ll make this easier..

We’re keeping him because he’s got EXCELLENT contacts and pipelines in the recruiting business. Maggard & co think those contacts are necessary for future in roads with big boy programs and I agree with that.

Everyone just relax. We’re about to pay a top tier coach, top tier money to come down here and help us win a CWS. That’s the reality of the situation.

If we throw 6 figs at an assistant coach in a non major sport it will send a massage to the country we are serious about athletics

No offense, but the message we need to send is getting to and winning a CWS.

The 2 go hand in hand

    Tell that to coastal

Edit: assuming you’re saying a six fig salary and going to CWS go hand in hand. Upon further review, I may have been wrong to make that assumption
