If you get excited when they announce Jake Wells as the new hitting coach...then that’s great because you must be easily excited. You are correct, neither feeling will change the outcome. Our new hitting coach hopefully will change the outcome but the announcement won’t.

Giving someone the benefit of the doubt isn’t a bad thing either. We, the fans, don’t need to know everything. Until Maggard or Robe shows they are incompetent at their jobs I’ll give them benefit of the doubt that they haven’t officially announced it yet with good reason. It’s known it’s Jake Wells and people from within the department are openly talking about it which tells me it’s semantics and something with the process. Or hey maybe it is total incompetence or a conspiracy, given the options I’ll go with the rational one considering the people involved.
