Another few would like to hear something, but are not ready to jump off of a cliff if nothing happens tomorrow. And the overwhelming majority are interested, but have more important things in life to deal with than when (or if) a formal announcement of a new hitting coach will be made.
Prior to yesterday, I had made one post about this in 3 weeks. This is very low on my priority list. Just because I don’t bow to the apologists here doesn’t mean I think the world is ending. I just happen to be on vacation and have a little time to come on this board as work has kept me busy lately. I don’t need a formal announcement. A new picture on the roster page of the website would be fine. We were told the problem was “fixed” after 2 years ago. That turned out to be totally false. Minus posters here saying things are happening, there is no reason to believe things will be different next year. As a fan, I’m concerned.

A lot of unoccupied suites this past season.

But, all suites were paid for and committed to for several years! Money is as important as attendance (if not more so). Without the money provided by those that may not always attend, Those of us that do attend would not be sitting in a new and more comfortable facility. Of course monetary donations AND attendance should be the ultimate goal.

And even if they are paid for for several years, fan apathy....especially at the level of these donors....is a troubling sign indeed.

Can apathy? Top 15 nationally in paid atrnendace and through one of the toughest season I can remember, the Park was often full. LSU tickets sold for $100+ for a midweek game.

    There’s no apathy.

This is something I've always wondered about. If your stadium is a season ticket sellout.. but you draw around 1,000... who cares about that? Does the AD take notice? Does the gameday sponsors argue about it? Is it discussed behind closed doors?

Paid attendance was high, actual fans in the seats other than for the LSU game were not.

I attended all games but 2. In my row, the row behind me and the row in front of me, for most games there were 15 or less fans out of about 60 seats and 4 were mine. The balance of the grandstand was about the same. I would not call that "often full."

I spend more money on food and beer than the cost of my season ticket. Maggard pays attention to the attendance and Jim Harris cares that the stadium club never came close to being full. Lots of money not being made on concessions.

That is interesting. I would bet you may get different answers from different ADs, sponsers, etc.

If you or others do not like the timeline of the moves so be it. Pleasing fans is not his job and frankly is an impossible task. The only coaches who are not hated by some segment of the fan base are the ones who have just been hired. And even those have their detractors. But continue complaining about how our most successful coach runs his program, just don’t expect for everyone of your suggestions to be implemented in the time you see fit. Pleasing you and others here is not his job.
You forgot to include something else . Up until maggard got here he was the head coach/fundraiser guy/marketing guy/build the stadium guy....
