Ramos is the greatest hitter to ever put on a Cajun uniform. His flair for the dramatic made him all the more compelling. I remember leaving the BR regional thinking that was the greatest hitting display I had ever seen.

What happened to get us sanctioned?

Don...I’ve asked this before without anyone remembering. A dust up a home plate, think Kelly was the coach and a pizza was involved. That’s all I recall.

This feels like telling stories near a campfire.

Bo cheated his ___ off. Had a slush fund to wind up with more on scholarship than the number allotted.

On many levels he did no more than Smoke L., but the rest is history. The guy had no recruiting budget, little money for housing and zero support from Dr. A. His infractions on scale, were way less than another famous Cajun coach.

Ok, but he still cheated his ___ off. That was the answer to the question that was asked.

And, I am aware the restrictions he was under. Robe was under the same when we went to Omaha. The University was paying salaries and scholarships. That was it.

He absolutely cheated. It's much easier to run a program that is funded, than one that is not. Bo could not adjust to running a program that was not funded and where his fundraising was micromanaged.

Coach Rob was the right man for the job, he ran the McNeese program with similar funding concerns. I don't think anyone else could have done what he has done considering the restraints at UL. And yes, he did make it to Omaha under those restraints. But he has never made it back because in large part due to the lack of funding and facilities.

And this is where all the people who say Authement is a great guy because he put academics first just don’t have a real clue about the man and what he did.

It’s one thing to say the UNIVERSITY is going to preserve its funds with tight budgets to help academics. But it’s a completely different thing for a university president to not even allow or greatly restrict private funding for athletics.

The man was a complete a-hole.
