Make it a two year plan, start Dec. 1st and have it done by Sept. 1st...

Phase 1- 2018: Demo home tower and home side seating, rebuild home seating, complete NEZ, add temporary press box and club area on visitor side

Phase 2 - 2019: Complete press box tower, visitor side seating, and add canopy to home and visitor sides.

We will basically have a new stadium for the 2020 season.

If we were able to put a canopy this big how awesome it would be!

I know just what was quoted. Nothing is off the table. While a new stadium isn't likely it hasn't been ruled out of play. It is my understanding that various stakeholders will begin having discussions within the next week or two.

Surely someone at Tech can tell us where we could get really big tarps.

Doing a NEZ and replacing the upper deck with a suite/clubhouse/restaurant complex will be cheaper than a new stadium, and we're talking tens of millions of dollars cheaper. If this partial renovation of Cajun Field is green lighted by the Building Code Gods, this is what will be done.

As an RCAF member, I would rather we save those tens of millions of dollars to spend in other places down the road, like keeping and hiring quality coaches/athletic directors and general athletic budget growth.

If a Cajun Field renovation is possible, a new stadium becomes a want at that point, not a need.

I don't think you can do the upper deck without doing the west side as I think the current structure won't support new construction. JMO
