Really? With a bowled stadium, all seats will be good, just some better than others. When we win and schedule right, people will come and will return, regardless of a change in seating. I don't think it is going to be business as usual at UL anymore with the leadership we now have. Read the article on Conference Realignment. That is the future of college football and will dictate the future of UL.
Well during the renovation portion is what I was saying. Everyone that sits on the home side will have to go to visitor side. Personally I say if the fans can grit there teeth. We can build the NEZ project, and then start on the Home Side before we even do the visitor side.
After everything is completed there won’t be a bad seat in Cajun Field!! Love the idea of everybody sitting close better game day experience.
I'd imagine with the new code you will lose some seating in the home bowl as well (and east bowl as well when that is done), so as much as I'd hate to lose the NEZ grass I can see the necessity in maintaining current capacity.
Looks like a perfect fit for us.

If we bowl in Cajun Field fans would actually be closer to the field, we could add premium seating, suite, nice press box etc. and it would be easily expandable, and still hold 35k, with a hardened dug in concrete stadium.
C4L, you are 100% correct. You are going to have fewer and fewer people attending football games in the future. In general, people are lazy and don't want to be uncomfortable. With every game in every living room, fatso Joe Blow is gonna be in his recliner, not sweating his balls off on the east side of Cajun dump.
UL needs to build something like this that can attract outdoor concerts, MLS exhibitions, and be the football palace of the G5. The people who think we will need a 55k seat stadium once we get an invite to join the big boys are out of their minds!
