Napier & Maggard are restructuring the way we schedule & will see a lot more regional G5 teams that people care about at Cajun field
A Ticket isn’t the only thing that cost to go to a football game. Rcaf minimums, parking pass fees, tailgate fees, concession stand prices..every time they need more money they add. We need a lot more people paying not the same people constantly paying a lot more. I was and still an ok with raising prices to catch up with everyone else, but they need to find a way to get more people on board do we can make strides and not just having the same people footing the bill to simply keep pace.

When UL added the back rests to the lower west side of Cajun Field, I'm sure it was done for the comfort of fans in mind. However, when the backs were added, it took away the leg room and now things are really tight and just as uncomfortable as before IMO. The entire stadium needs to be brought up to code. If that is done, it would then match the SEZ and all seats would be much more comfortable simply by giving everyone the extra leg room in the aisles.

I think it is becoming very clear, that whenever renovations are made to Cajun Field, and whatever gets done, it will need to involve the entire facility and not just the upper deck.

Mid majors are really having it tough due to all the attention going to big schools. This new reality needs to be considered when making facility decisions. That is for all schools, not just ours
    Exactly.

Stanford shrunk their stadium capacity a few years back (from ~80k - 45k) in order to increase ticket demand, and they've actually done quite well which includes their recent success of course. But also (and I said this about the $60 parking fee), the performance on the field has to complement the cost. Losing teams and poor competition don't sustain profits.

IF we decide to remodel the stadium, our business model has to include 1) success complimentary to with the seating capacity and 2) the competition coming in. People aren't going to pay tons of money for a suite to watch us beat up on Texas State and ULM.

Even in the height of the greatest 4 years in our football program's history (which isn't saying much), the only game that came close to 40,000 was Southern. Sun Belt games got to 30,000, but that's it. 40,000 is the ceiling. Build that. If for some unknown reason, we can continually sell that out, raise ticket prices (supply and demand).

And don’t build a stadium over 40k capacity because you will never fill it. Not many casual fans/ families will drop $150-$200 to go to a sun belt football game. The die hards will always be there but that’s only about 12k people at most. Keep raising prices and you will only need a stadium the size of Tulane. Or be smart and find a balance that gets the masses involved for every game. The Atlanta falcons and Baltimore ravens dropped there concession prices by more than half, i bet you will see more of that and i bet they will see attendance increase and revenue increase because they will have more people going and more people drinking and eating at games with reasonable prices.

IMHO, you build a 40k with options for 50k down the road in case we do become the next Boise.
I would rather have a smaller, more intimate stadium where tickets would be more valuable. 35k is plenty and I agree with those who mention the new MLS stadium designs. There is not a bad seat in those places.

Ticket prices have not risen in 10 years( family 5 pass is still $70) all the extra is fluff and does not concern me. Most casual fans will come to the game when UL is doing well and pay their single-game ticket prices, and that's what we want for now ....butts in seats

That's great it doesn't concern you.

We need continuing revenue in the form of season ticket sales. You can't pay for stadium upgrades in the form of individual game ticket sales.

I pay $1100 for 2 Saints season tickets(10 games) with free parking a block away. And no, I am not at the very top. Those are even cheaper. I also sold two of my games and got 40% credit for this years season tickets. It’s such a better value it cannot be measured. Concession prices at the dome are slightly higher.
