From what he has done so far, as well as pushing for a newly renovated stadium stadium and increasing ticket fees and coaching salaries, I would say that the writing is on the wall. He’s looking to make us a threat to the rest of the G5 and beyond.
And I’m not talking about just a threat in the Sun Belt Conference. This man has some extraordinary goals for this program. Stay tuned.....
It’s really about thinking ahead. Maggard and his staff are looking beyond just this upcoming football season. They’re looking 5-10 years into the future and taking the steps in the present to get there. And I think the overall feel of the fan base is at a “wait and see” stage at the moment which is understandable.
But one of the bigger flaws of our way of thinking around here is that we want a lot more while doing the bare minimum, and that’s not how college athletics succeeds in the long run. If we want to be a big time school, we have to act that way.
