Thread: Could the Ragin’ Cajuns be getting a new football stadium?

Before jumping back to the new/renovated stadium, for that wedding proposal thing, we could also think about throwing in Jay's vidoe to start up the bachelor party.

I'm all for extra events, but you can't force customers into extracurricular activities without hurting sales.

    It's a deal-er killer.

Can't always think within the box. It gets clostophobic in there.
It’s long overdue. And I think conversations like this even within this forum is important as well. We are in a transition not only with our program, but also within our fanbase on the way we think in terms of progression. Bringing up topics like this one will bring about debates and different ideas, but it’s a good thing for sure.

Don’t forget to factor in the roughly $20,000 per month the athletic department receives every single year from the dealer(s)....

    Forget?

I've been asking (with no reply) this question for at least a dozen years.

Thanks for answering with an answer that exceeded my expectations.

Yes, they sponsor our program which is fantastic. And they lend demos to our coaches. But they and LADA can afford to pay a little more to use our land.

Like I said several times when that thread was going on - only the administration knows or can find out all the value, direct or indirect that comes from the parties to this event. Just because previous adminstrations may have been to stupid or lazy to evaluate if the university is or is not getting sufficient value from this event does not mean that this one should not re-evaluate or evaluate it for the first time or the first time in a long while and see if adjustments should be made.

I’m guessing 50 cars at $400/month car note if university was to buy cars....And while my quantities may be off...the monthly notes definitely differentiate....example: Hudspeth was driving about $80,000 Escalade which is about $1,000+ per month for you and I to have 5 year note...

I don't know and as you are guessing you don't know, but they know. So why don't we do like we did last time and leave it into the hands of the administration, who knows or can find out, to make the evaluation and have them proceed in the best interest of the university.

The question remains if Dr Savoy is going to let Dr Maggard change the agreement. From what I understand none of those funds go to athletics. Athletics gets the sponsorship money and loaner program from the participating dealerships.

So people are fine with baseball fans having to walk across the parking lot but if car buyers have to walk, big problem... I see..

Everybody needs to walk - it's good for the soul, and if at the end of the walk, you get an ice cold beer, it's good for the head. It's just all good.
