IMHO, you build a 40k with options for 50k down the road in case we do become the next Boise.
I would rather have a smaller, more intimate stadium where tickets would be more valuable. 35k is plenty and I agree with those who mention the new MLS stadium designs. There is not a bad seat in those places.

Or be smart and find a balance that gets the masses involved for every game.
Ticket prices have not risen in 10 years( family 5 pass is still $70) all the extra is fluff and does not concern me. Most casual fans will come to the game when UL is doing well and pay their single-game ticket prices, and that's what we want for now ....butts in seats

That's great it doesn't concern you.

We need continuing revenue in the form of season ticket sales. You can't pay for stadium upgrades in the form of individual game ticket sales.

I pay $1100 for 2 Saints season tickets(10 games) with free parking a block away. And no, I am not at the very top. Those are even cheaper. I also sold two of my games and got 40% credit for this years season tickets. It’s such a better value it cannot be measured. Concession prices at the dome are slightly higher.

Never said it was a source of revenue but a reason why we need a 40K stadium, not a 30k one.

Our attendance says it concerns a lot of people...Our highest attended game is 32k that didn’t involve Mcneese or southern bringing boat loads of fans or Texas A&M or Alabama. Home games with power 5’s are feware far between and even more so with teams like Texas A&M and Bama..so unless you are planning to play Mcneese and southern every year no reason to build anything bigger than 40k and that’s probably still too big. Build a stadium for 6 Saturday’s ever year, not a stadium for 1 game every 5 or 6 years.

Basketball and Football will continue to play ____ty schedules as long as we are a G5 school. Substitute SMIss for La College and you still have poor attendance.

I could only pay $50 a game for 2 tickets & free shuttle ride .. If I chose that route

And btw, averaging 28k per season would be an unbelievable accomplishment for our program, and indicate we are one of the most vibrant G5 schools in the country. There is nothing to be ashamed of for having crowds between 25-30k in today’s environment.

And i still think attendance will keep dropping...people’s attention spans are getting smaller and smaller especially younger people. Hard for a family to drop that kind of money if their kids struggle to make it to half time. It’s not just here, it’s eveywhere and there are a lot of different variables effecting it.
