I am too busy to investigate now, but does anyone know if we use SBC umpires when we host a regional at Lamson. I seriously doubt it.
Maybe next week we will see ACC umpires calling the loosianna state-FSU games next weekend, but I will be shocked.

The host school has nothing to do with umpire assignments. It is in the hands of the NCAA.

Unless he had time to observe all his child's playing and have the time to assist. Newspaper article will not say he is "temporarily off".
What gets me is he is an SEC umpire doing a game with a team he sees numerous times a year against little old us. Who he has actually screwed us in the past. Conflict of interest?

Amazingly every controversial call goes against us vs P5 teams late in games tipping the victory to the various P5 teams. Been going on for decades. We’ve never gotten one of those calls. Interesting stat.
