But, just based on Lexie's reaction and the pic showing the top of her glove bent backwards with what appears to be against the runner's left leg, she be out.
I printed the photo in the first post, then enlarged the photo as much as I could - If you look closely, Lexie's glove is right on the runner's left thigh AND it is sweeping across her left forearm. In the Morning Advocate photo, the runner's left arm has gone downward to the plate and Lexie's glove is on the runner's right shoulder. Therefore, it would be logical that that the tag was applied to the left thigh, chest and right shoulder as the runner was reaching down. The Morning Advocate is a photo and not a frame, I think, and is pretty clear. The combination of the two reinforces my belief that Lexie had to have tagged her out. And the umpire is looking right at it as well as facing the Tiger fans.

If you want to get your blood boiling a little more, go to theadvocate.com and look at their photo - it is shameful when you look at the ESPN frame next to it.
KLFY News 10 had a slo mo video last night showing the play at home. No way runner should have been called safe. Maybe they archive their broadcasts.

    Saw that. Thanks.
I have both news shows on DVR - KATC has a clear view and it looks like Lexie's tag went up the runner's arm - runner's legs never touched the plate - slowed it down on DVR to 1/6.

Same thing on KLFY - we got hosed.

it doesnt seem like he was suspended two years, he was in wcws in 2015, then there is this article about him in 2016 and he is working now in 2018.

Unless he had time to observe all his child's playing and have the time to assist. Newspaper article will not say he is "temporarily off".
What gets me is he is an SEC umpire doing a game with a team he sees numerous times a year against little old us. Who he has actually screwed us in the past. Conflict of interest?

agreed, but he mentions working a game in the article in 2016, most he could have benn "off" is just 2017, not two years.

This ranks right up there with the phantom foul on Brett Smith vs Tennessee.

....The reaction of our catcher as having no doubt about the tag and looking with the ball back at the field and her disbelief upon hearing that the runner was safe.....then her reaction of disbelief....can somebody explain the entire inning as Some missed the video!

Video? Haven't seen one anywhere. Ncaa has every other game videos, but for some reason this game the video of " winning" run got lost. As did @noextra_innings twitter account

You can definitely get on WatchESPN and rewatch the play/whole game if you’d like.
