I was sitting right behind him in the grandstand and he was not picking the ball up. You really saw it when he took strike 3 on the inner half of the plate but turned back like the ball was going to hit him. Just happens sometimes. He looked much more comfortable with their relievers although it seemed after the starter came out, their coach would bring in a new pitcher to face Lahare every time he was up.
I follow closely and go to every game i can, if someone in my box didn’t say something Tuesday night i would be showing up tonight for game 1.
What??? I was in the stadium from 5:40 on.....there weren't many UL fans at all until closer to 6, and even then it was a pretty low-turn out. But there ALWAYS was a TON more UL fans than ulm...not even close. The 5-8 ulm fans that were there when I arrived, and sitting in the usual 105 section, did not increase by very much....if at all....throughout the whole game. But so many UL fans left towards the end (I guess the ulm people were staying overnight, so didn't feel as strong an urge to leave) that they were more visible.
Also, and as someone else mentioned earlier in this thread, a suite owner needs to be shot for letting that gaggle of ulm idiots sit up there and be some of the most obnoxious fans ever. But it did make the wak off that much sweeter....:-) I sure hope that we don't have to put up with them all weekend.
