Well, this is in direct contradiction to what Napier thinks of him and that is not real popular around here these days so I'm a little surprised to see so many people who don't think he's a QB.

I'm not certain what Coach Napier thinks, there is such a thing as coaches talk. I don't know him well enough to say he doesn't believe what he stated, but I have my doubts. The one thing I know for certain is he is not a coach that will throw his coaches or players under the bus. We will know more by next spring where he stands with Lewis.

Now, that would be the first thing Napier said that I did not like. When a coach contradicts what all our eyes can see, it sounds either misleading or unintelligent. He may be throwing out coach speak, I don’t know, but that’s crazy talk.

Mostly he’s just late finding the proper open receivers. When, rarely, he spots the open receivers he’s fairly accurate. Perhaps Napier thinks it’s a learning curve.

Watching Mahomes last night. That’s a guy who is better on the run than pocket,hyperbole. The announcers commented that his out the pocket completion is best all time, though I didn’t know that was quantified.

Both need quite a bit of development before starting here. McDowell shot puts the ball a little bit and I don't see the zip on Field's ball that is there yet. I don't see either one starting Game 1 in the 2019 season.

Looks like we should start now game planning for game one 2019 to snap the ball with 5 seconds or less on the game clock.

Can’t coach leadership. Fields has that instinct. Just look at his twitter posts after he committed. Dude wants not only to play but lead the way.

Rummel won easily. Fields was 6 for 15 for about 150 yards. He also scored a TD rushing. Previous game Fields was 8 for 10.

I replied in another thread but I was impressed with his athleticism and the flight of the deep ball. Rummel has a difference maker at receiver and he could get open at will. No passes between the hash marks, and after an early interception in the red zone Fields just tucked it and ran when his primary receiver was not open. Overall I thought he has a similar skill set to Lewis. Looks like a leader on the field.
