He may be "smallish" today. However, he still has a whole senior year to play. Earliest he would see the field for us is over 15 months away. Plenty of time to make his body stronger.

    and in 18 months, 6' could well be 6' 2" or 6' 3"

Exactly and here is probably the most important aspect of this commitment, he is out of the New Orleans area. He is a Juluke recruit and that bodes well for our classes going forward. And don't be surprised to see this kid pick up other offers from staff's that think they can sway him from his UL Commitment.

My favorite part of the announcement is that he wants to start recruiting other players now.

Yes, that's how you build good classes. They recruit each other at summer camps and 7 vs 7 ball during the summer.

T, I can't believe you like this commit. He's a white QB. (sarcasm off).

    Too soon?

LOL!!! I like the fact that he can throw all passes and is athletic enough to run, or move in the pocket. I've never had a criteria of skin color for QB's, just whether or not they fit the scheme you want to run.

He definitely delivered some really good balls in that hudl tape. Threw well from the pocket and showed good feet escaping the pocket and extending the play. Looks like he can throw pretty accurately off balance and on the run.

Plus, you have to love the attitude based on what he has said.

He actually looked taller than 6'0 on the tape.

Rummel looks like they have some very athletic receivers too.

    Impressive instincts.

    Very smooth in the pocket.

    Very accurate.

Some guys play 3 inches taller than they are. He's one of those. Non-issue. I had to remind myself I was watching a 15 year old play QB.
