Coach said that he wanted to throw both DMO and Stoelke 1 inning a piece so he was going to bring him in no matter what DMO was doing

Happy for Lott, but he is not playing because of his poor at bats. Striking out and hitting below .100 with many chances is not what you look for in a DH. Maybe Robe should give him another shot this weekend. It would be nice to only use Stover as a late inning defensive replacement.

He was at 29 pitches and had already induced 2 outs more than the wanted to use him for. And really, we going to complain when Stolke is put in at any time to get 3 outs. That is really out of bounds.

Sorry Metry but NOBODY on the bench available to DH have been given "MANY CHANCES" in a row to try and get in a rhythm, thus the fail on this coaching staff to develop a DH. Too many kids got to little number of chances and in each instance all with the pressure that you fail to produce in a couple at bats, next man up. No one on any team can be expected to succeed under that scenario. NONE of them did.

Hell, under that analysis, Cantrelle, Kasuls and Fontenot would be on the bench with their early performances. They got lots of chances early, had little pressure and towards the middle of the season caught a rhythm and have been producing ever since.

When EVERYBODY was NOT given a sufficient chance to get in a rythem at the plate, this coaching staff went to all defensive specialists. Probably left 8 or 10 HR's on the pine.

I tend to agree with your statement overall, but Todd Light said this about his opportunities this season.

Todd Lott says he had to look at himself in the mirror & tell himself he was the reason he wasn’t playing a lot this year. Notes he read the Bible a lot, became aggressive at the plate & took on aggressive mindset. He can definitely be an X-factor for this club down the stretch.
