Louisville quit using UL and U of L years ago and simply uses Louisville. It stuck.
I agree Louisiana is our best option and it is sticking.
Now can we quit talking about it?

Don't mean to hijack this thread, so feel free to move this to another if appropriate. But since we are talking about this, an option, not necessarily suggesting this, would be to do what many of the old Big 8 schools did that would certainly circumvent the law just as use of Louisiana does. Just trying to help figure out a way to dig out of this hole we were thrown into, although it might be a hard transition from UL to LU. Still, better than ULL and I don't think LA will ever catch on as a reference we would use like UL or LU. Image LU on a FDL as our logo in comparison to the other 3 below.

OU - University of Oklahoma
KU - University of Kansas
CU - University of Colorado

LU - University of Louisiana

I think it will never be used, administration has made the decision to use LA and I can’t disagree, now we just need a bad_____ logo using LA, I would go to more of the FDL route, but we do need something with the LA acronym

I would never make it my primary logo, because they show Louisiana on ESPN, and other news outlets, problem is that when it shows Louisiana, and then shows a LA logo to me that would be suicide because then it would look like Louisiana-LAfayette, I would never do it, but maybe on a hat, shirt, some type of signage at the football stadium ok. I say we keep stacked Ragin Cajuns or go FDL route.

“ULL” on their website article showing the bracket for the weekend. Also using official NCAA design/logo/theme , etc

Just sent a friendly note to LSU sports.net alerting them to the oversight. Surely they’ll correct it shortly.
