Unbelievable. Great news for Thomas!!’ Has half a DB group ever been drafted from such a horrible defense? I honestly can’t remember him making that many plays, but maybe our front seven was that incompetent.
This is great news for Napier and staff. A path to the NFL is what a lot of these kids are looking for. This should help recruiting.

If I remember correctly, our pass defense was atleast pretty good that year. This year, we were 107th in pass defense, beyond abysmal.

2017: UL gave up 8.49 yards per pass attempt
2002: UL gave up 7.8 yards per pass attempt.

Based on how far they lined up off the ball in 2017, I thought the difference would be greater.

He definitely had his moments and was a good open field tackler. He was rarely picked on too by QB's.

You can't teach his size, speed and athletic ability. That's what scouts look for. Same with Walker

Not only couldn’t stay eligible, but dumb as a brick. And for people saying he didn’t get tested, he got burnt on the regular last year. He didn’t start half of our games.

Look, I’m glad he got drafted and hope he has a long, productive career, but let’s not romanticize. This guy did nothing for our program.
