A double-squeeze in the seventh inning gave UL the lead it needed.
But it would have meant nothing if senior reliever Dylan Moore hadn’t shut down the University of New Orleans like he did Wednesday night.

Robe mentioned DMo has something like a 2.00 ERA in conference.
If we can have him going strong for the tourney, that would be a huge plus.
Very happy for that guy.
Btw, depleted pitching staff, off of an emotionally charged vengeance game, down 5-1..
This was a very nice win.
RPI Up to 58
OOC SOS up to 7
We have a top 100 series this weekend
Top 30 series next weekend.
Lets make hay.
He touched upper 80s (like 88) on our radar at least once or twice that I saw. Likely he loses some effectiveness/velo with more innings in a shorter span but I think we can send him out there at least once a week and get good innings out of him.
Like Robe said, he didn't tip toe like Cox and Williams did and that was key. Also he was ahead more times than not.
I know I'm not breaking news here, but I think it's as simple as pitching ahead of hitters for DMo. I don't think his stuff is ineffective. I think he's just had to force the issue in some of his outings, and with the drop in velo, that's a death sentence. I have confidence in him in tight spots more than anyone else though.
He has such a professional approach to pitching. He attacked the hitters. It was impressive to see a maligned veteran pitcher seize the moment and shake up the memories.
Very happy for D-MO and extremely happy they let him finish it off...
