He was the #1 prep QB in the 2015 class. He left BAMA in 2016 after Hurts was named the starter. In 2017 he transferred to Arizona State. Now he's available as a grad transfer with two years to play.

Napier has been with this kid for the last 3 years. Last year he was his offensive coordinator along with Coach Sale. If anyone has a chance at this kid I think we are in the best position. Let's make him a Cajun!

I don't think Nape would make a decision like Hud to grab a guy off old potential. Nape is a forward thinking guy and Barnett isn't a brick you want to build your foundation with. Guy's that get around based off old potential and a history of under achieving are like company stocks that are of yester-year. The blockbuster video of football transfers if you will.

I disagree. Over the past three years he's seen better scout teams at BAMA and ASU, than the defenses he will face in the SBC. I would like to at least have a chance versus BAMA and Miss St. this year. No one would want to beat those two teams more than Barnett. We saw what happened to Davis under the bright lights at A&M last year and I just don't trust Lewis to last an entire season and Nunez only gives you one year. I would only go with Nunez if he's head and shoulders above Lewis and Davis.

I don't really have an opinion either way. I trust our staff to do what's best. I think Napier coaching alone makes our QB play improved with the guys currently on the roster. How much depends on the amount of raw talent they have and the O-line play. I think Napier gets our QB(s) to play their max potential.

Not really much of a rumor. The Bruce Feldman tweet in the first post says he's going there this weekend.
