With a 23-19 record we are some how in the top 50 RPI insane ... UL victory stated this earlier with decent hitting you are pushing the 30 win mark with a sub 20 RPI

Look, I'm excited as hell as anyone that we are where we are after what we have been through and with our anemic production at the plate, whatever the cause of that lack of production may be.

But I don't think even a 20 RPI gets this team a top 16 seed as we now continue to prove that regardless of our recent success in the W column, we are just NOT a decent hitting team and won't be one this year.

I just hope and pray we make it into the field of 64, by hook or by crook. There are things we have done this year that show that this team is deserving as many of that opportunity.

We about to have our 5th best hitter in the lineup fall below the Mendoza Line and hanging close to the deuce and a quarter mark.

Haha. LaFleur looks hell bent on getting below .200. I think the other three have found comfort in the .160 to .185 range. Kasuls will probably stay above the Mendoza line because we have our .270 DH protecting him.

I believe if you and I were both on what he was on, we could work and twist the facts enough to get this team a national seed. But for now, I would settle for winning the SBC west and putting us in the best place to have an opportunuty to win the SBC tournament.
