Ellyson yielded a single run in 25 innings and recorded four wins as No. 22 Louisiana (31-12, 16-5 Sun Belt) closed out a series win over then-No. 24 Texas State last Monday, won a midweek matchup at McNeese and claimed a Sun Belt series win over Georgia Southern.

She exited the week with a 4-0 mark and 0.28 ERA. Ellyson limited foes to 15 hits, a .163 average and collected 20 strikeouts.

After beginning the week leading Louisiana to the series victory over Texas State, Ellyson pitched 18-2/3 innings of scoreless softball against McNeese and Georgia Southern.

The sophomore hurler had a hand in both shutouts of Georgia Southern – a complete game, four-hit effort in the series opener and a combined, three-hit shutout in the series clincher.

The Acadiana native received her second weekly award from the Sun Belt Conference this season. She was named pitcher of the week back on Feb. 20 after her efforts in wins over Oregon State and then-No. 2 Florida.
