Thread: Softball suffers heartbreaking split

  1. UL Softball Softball suffers heartbreaking split

UL coach Gerry Glasco experienced that truth the gut-wrenching way in Saturday’s doubleheader split with Georgia Southern at Lamson

After squeaking out a 2-0 win in the first game on just six hits, his No. 22-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns struggled offensively once again in a 3-2 defeat in eight innings in the nightcap.

Not really that dramatic. If you’ve been watching the team this year, those are the types of games they have lost. You out hit the competition, leave a BUNCH of runners on base and give up the clutch hit. That’s at least 4-5 games that they have lost with the same formula.

We’re good, but you’ve got to win those games going away. We’re not good enough to crush the teams we usually crush. It’s just weird to see. Different team, different coach, different approach, I get it and I’m sure the team is far more frustrated than the fans are.

looks like we will live and die on the back of Summer this year. You are right it is a different kind of Cajun SB. It seems like some of these girls should be hitting with more power. one thing for sure, they make every game intresting, never blow out or get blown out.

On the positive side, it looks like we might have found our DP in Boswell.

YES, Boswell is quite an athlete, doing it in the circle and the batter's box. You gotta love her.
