Just out of curiosity, I took a look at Grambling's record over the past few years. They have been winning...a lot. I know its a different talent level but wins are wins. Might be more of a game that I thought.

They have a great squad for what they are and played Arizona to the wire back in 2016. However, the SWC is historically the worst conference in all of D1 football in fact their best win in the last 10 years was against a 4-7 NWST

Fortunately for us we are not facing the same team with Kincaid and Carter. They return Clark at WR, but the two most dynamic athletes are gone. This will not be the same Grambling team. We need to be concerned about getting our athletes healthy and ready to go in the fall. The rest will take care of itself against Grambling.

Yep, we interviewed him for the HC vacancy last year

Speaking of the four players above, I think that Ashton Johnson and Jaylen Williams will help us a lot. Williams could be an X factor type of guy with his size and speed. We sure could use a little more size in the WR corp and he could be a solid redzone target. I'm certain that Napier would actually know how to use such a large WR in scoring opportunities. Also, Johnson may not play a ton with our depth but if we continue to have RB health issues, he could end up being a relied upon fill in and he looked good this past weekend.

That Bass kid is an interesting prospect especially for a walkon still extremely raw
