I have already said I think Lewis will be the starting QB. However, I will say I think he was on the more talented team as well in this scrimmage. This wasn't a true apples to apples comparison. After seeing the scrimmage, I have even more confidence in Coach Napier making the best decision for the team at ALL positions.

The technique is so much better by the WR's and they have actual route running concepts to build upon. We need the most help in defensive backfield. No doubt those guys are working hard, but we do need some better athletes back there.

Our spring game was on ESPN 3 along with Tennessee and Alabama. The game was televised from the student side of the stadium showing the double deck and NEZ. Nice to see someone thought through this and showed the best view of the stadium. Also had a nice showing of the APC. Video Board was fully used without 1/3 being used for ads. Good interviews, great segment on the 4 walkons getting scholarships, and overall good production for Louisiana. I agree that Levi Lewis looked the sharpest QB by far.

I just wish I didn't have to work so I could have watched it. Hopefully I can find a replay online tonight when I get off.

I found it interesting that Lewis took almost all the snaps (Ray was in for one series) for the White team while Nunez and Davis alternated at QB for the Vermilion team. White team never punted. Is that a concern for the defense? I bet it was simply more of a case of the white team having more starters at most spots on both offense and defense, especially in the lines. I agree the receivers performed very well. On many receptions the coverage was fine and the receivers used their athleticism to come up with the ball. Also agree that the physical condition of the players appears to be improved. Glad he changed the format to more of a regular game. That allowed the fans to have a better feel for the status of the program.

White team had our OC calling plays and red team had our WR coach calling plays, you would think white offense would have an advantage there
