Billy Napier has called his first reverse play as head coach of the Ragin’ Cajuns.

After being reluctant to do so previously, Napier now plans to divide his injury-depleted roster into two teams and make a game of it for Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. CST-televised spring football finale at Cajun Field.

“We’re gonna split the team in half and create a very competitive environment for Saturday,” Napier said after Thursday’s final practice before the spring finale.
