Some people were wondering about early recruiting...now it cannot happen going forward. Also says Glasco cannot even talk to them anymore until their junior year...wonder how that will affect their commitment.

That is true, but as in the article, Power 5 will put the pressure on them to make a commitment as early as possible. Mid majors hve to work harder to sell themselves. Power 5 don't. If they get the girl to commit early and make less visits, guess who's left out in the cold?

Good thing our softball program is the exception to the rule. UL softball is on a power status. we will get our share of visits with coach Glasco at the helm.

Is the rule of no recruiting type contact prior to September 1 of a player's junior year applicable for all sports or just softball. Personally, I would like it to be for all sports. Kids need to be just that-kids-for a little while longer in today's world.
