I think canceling the game today hurt both teams RPI wise, maybe hurts us more than them in the conference race. Only going golfing knows for sure. What say you Brian?

I think "canceled" means we will not be playing game one. Double header tomorrow and moving on. JMO

It could if the Cajuns win both games tomorrow and both teams finish with the same number of losses. If both teams win out the rest of the way, Texas State will be the champs with a better win percentage, 90 to 88.

Probably, but doubtful. For both Louisiana and Texas State, the goal when you are this close to the top 16 in the rpi is to host a regional. Even with 3 wins over the Cajuns, now 2, the Bobcats resume is not strong enough to jump so many P5 teams that are ahead of them. Softball does not seed the teams going to the regional, so, at this point, it's a pretty safe bet that the Cajuns are going to Baton Rouge (unless LSU screws up) and Texas State is going to College Station.

They are trying to play the 3rd game on Monday but it has to be approved by the Sun Belt
