That's the thing I've noticed about these guys, too. Despite all of their flaws, they've been able to play this thing one game at a time. They've flushed losses (still haven't lost more than two in a row all season) and they fight like hell. Hayden talked about it last night on Robe's radio show. He says these guys believe in each other and they don't point fingers when things go wrong. They just keep working.

And, I admire the crap out of that. When you consider how depleted our pitching staff is right now, this was one helluva gutsy win tonight.

Dylan Moore was the best he's been all year. And I hope that's a harbinger for things to come.

BTW, it wasn't mentioned during this thread. Tony said after the game that it's relatively good news on Stoelke. It's a strain in the groin area. He started treatment today and will be left behind this weekend to continue treatment. Cross your fingers he's back for next weekend vs. Little Rock.

He must forget that he’s wearing the catcher equipment, giving signs to the pitcher, and has to catch the ball. Your advice must really help. What McKinnon is doing is beyond understanding for anyone that hasn’t caught a baseball game. I will never criticize what that kid is doing. I don’t care what he’s hitting or how many times he’s been crossed up.

The guy is mentally and physically exhausted. He’s got several nagging injuries and has caught every inning but maybe 2 this entire season. Just had a great weekend againast UTA (that not many commented on btw) and continues to battle.

Two five game weeks in a row, constant travel, extra inning games and catching guys out of the pen that he literally has never caught before. He’s also learning our pitching system on the fly. It takes some catchers 2 seasons before they fully encompass and digest what this guy is doing.

Keep grinding Mr. McKinnon. I see you.

Cole deserves and has earned a pass to continue doing the best he can to man that position. He is our catcher and will be our catcher for the balance of the season so let's get behind him and champion him to make it through his task. It is quite obvious that we better all hope that such is the case and he can stay healthy to man that task for the balance of the season. Support is what he needs and has earned from the fans. It is what he is getting from the coaching staff and his teammates.

Those back to back pitches in the 7th were just something out of the ordinary and something other than him just having a pass ball. Not sure what it was, but he was not even close to catching those pitches. That hurt, but his team got behind him and persevered for the game win and that is what this kid has earned from his fans.

Give the guy a pat on the back and the best support he can get.

Now let's go get three this weekend. Geaux Cajuns.

Does that include this board? Because there were a couple of guys on here ripping on him last night. So, is it only wrong if someone is present so the kid can hear it, or is it also wrong if someone is on this board and the kid can read it.

We need to police our own, as well.
