Thread: Napier throws down attendance challenge...

Many schools are having problems with fielding 2 competitive teams for a spring game. Maybe its time to have a modified spring game against another team. Crowds would be bigger and give everyone a real taste of football in the spring. Bad weather up North. I think many Northern teams would enjoy a few practices and a modified game in warmer weather.

What would most likely happen in that situation is we would never have a home spring game again and we would be some sec or big 12’s scrimmage partner ever year.

It's all in how you sell it.

Even the Yankees travel south in the spring.

Northerners will do anything for a Spring Break.

In 1917 The Cincinnati Reds scrimmaged against the Cajuns, here.

And we do anything for money, i promise you when the big boys start cutting half a million dollar checks for spring game opponents we will be going get a check. Cold weather bothers northern football teams now? Haha..ok, how ridiculous

You want to raise money for the RCAF? You want to pack the stadium for TV?

    Scrimmage McNeese.

Coming out of a long hard winter to get started, is a totally different ball game than the slow regular season ride from the heat of August into the first half of Winter.

Like I said, "it's how you sell it."

Bankruptcyman's idea needs to be looked into.

Pretty sure that would be up to the NCAA to allow it. Schools in the Mac would be going get their paychecks from the big 10...SBC and CUSA would go get their checks brim sec and big 12. You keep forgetting it’s not about how you sell it, it’s about the others buying it. A game that means nothing, g5’s Will _____ themselves out as usual for a payday. I do like the idea, just don’t see us being on the benefiting end of it...or at least being the host team. We would be getting the checks to travel.
