So, you schedule the game on a different day/weekend. That is, if you trying to pack the stadium.
I think you take advantage of everything going on that day. I have no problem with the time and date of the game.

This is what they have done the past several years. Had the spring game on a Sat that baseball and softball were both at home. I remember a couple of years ago going to UL softball vs USA after the spring game. It was the first UL softball game I had ever been to in person.

This year the day consists of plenty of things going on

UL Alumni flag football game, b4 the UL spring game.
RCAF crawfish boil before/during the spring game.
    UL spring game
Concert for free. Don’t remember where it is. Keith Frank was the artist.
    UL Softball double header
    UL Baseball vs Little Rock

TONS of events going on that day!!!! Get your butts to UL sports complex for a FULL DAY of events!

Unfortunately, I likely have to work and cannot attend. Stupid project at work going live that weekend, and I probably cannot go. I’ll beg my boss over the next few days.

There's almost 600K residents in the core Acadiana parishes surrounding Lafayette. Counting the SWLA parishes around LC area that's another 300K. It still surprises me how many kids in LC do one year at McNeese then transfer to UL to complete their undergraduate studies. We should promote UL Athletics and more in LC-SWLA like for example the upcoming coaches caravan. Winning coupled with a consistent regional, annual marketing effort can't hurt.

Take advantage? I don't consider paying for Softball and Baseball tickets for my family, which I would not have purchased otherwise, as "taking advantage".

Dosen't matter. It seems from the write up on this day that this will just be a glorified practice and not a real Spring game.

"Take advantage" in the same way you will do things on vacation that you would never do back home simply because you find yourself in a unique "on location" timely situation.
