Yes you are absolutely correct. How dare any of the 100 or so bleacher ticket holders that chose to show up and stay to support the team for the bad weather game move from their assigned seat in the rain to make sure that they don't end up in the seat of one of the 200 that showed up in the grand stands when there are 950 grand stand seats available.
I give up. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought such a suggestion of compassion to a devoted fan would create such ill and disdain. My apologies.
My two cents on this: that night when they made the GA announcement I moved to the area I prefer. Had no issues, as no one ever sits there....even when there isn't any rain.
My 'neighbors' at my regular seats told me Tuesday that when they got there Saturday and people were in their seats they got them to move....with no issue.
So I guess I agree with both sides: if you pay for seats you should have access to them every time you want them. However, it was also nice and the right thing to do when they made the GA offer, as there were surely enough seats to accommodate everyone.
Now, the fact that they also opened up the club room to everyone is another issue: if I had paid that big fee, i think I would've been po'd that it was open to all. Even if it was just one for one game.
I would love to reread this thread with only posts from people who were at that game last Saturday and all other posts deleted. Then I would form my opinion.
I didn't say that I agreed with anything you have said in this thread.
I just said I would mark it down, didn't say what file I would put it in.
You are obviously resting way too early.
Glad you are enjoying the opportunity to laugh at yourself.
And yes, I was at the game.
On another note I have a question from the Friday night thriller against UTA. We have a group sitting in our seats in the grandstand. We stand up in the 9th inning to cheer our Cajuns desperately needing an out for a win. Behind us comes a command "Down in Front!" Not wanting a confrontation without really knowing the presumably Cajun fans behind us, we sat.
It made the victory a minute later feel shallow and the joyful feeling was less than it should have been. Should I have turned around and said to those people what I wanted to say in a loud voice or given them a mulligan that one time?
