Statistics don't always tell the story, but South Alabama has a 2.62 team ERA, third behind Texas State and Louisiana. Devin Brown has a 2.16 ERA (4th) and 136 strikeouts (2nd) in 129 innings. Alexis Reid has a 2.87 ERA (7th) and has given up 97 hits, 42 runs and 41 walks in 102 innings. When you take into consideration that the Jaguars are 18-17 after playing the Cajuns, it's easy to assume that the Jaguars do not give their pitchers much run production.
