Haul Tony’s ___ up to the press box and talk to him.
Robe snapped the mic in half over his thigh like Bo Jackson. It's like the 15th time this year. We suck, move along
Learfield, are you listening. . . Hello, hello . . . Post game show . . . Coaches interview . . . Hello, hello, hello
Bring a phone down to the field, call Jay in the booth give Robe the phone, put Jay's phone on speaker, put it up to the mic in the booth.
Booyah
Brilliant!
When Michael Desormeaux was still a high school quarterback, I did a KPEL Friday night broadcast from New Iberia, between New Iberia Catholic and Teurlings.
Side note: $50 a game agreement, never got paid.
Anyway, We did the entire broadcast with nothing more than my Motorola flip phone.
Today any mobile phone with a headphone/mic jack and a Lavalier microphone would be a perfect postgame solution for away baseball games.
Good idea, Turbine, except Jonesboro won't get a cell tower until the next century. Besides, according to the KPEL engineer/producer, everything is fine.
Come on, man. You can work for the station without having to defend it in everything.
I spent five years at KPEL-FM. I did everything from anchoring/reporting, producing games (HS football and Cajuns baseball), and being the BM. And I say this knowing that Jay Walker is my child’s godfather: KPEL-AM needs to get it figured out.
I know they’re working on it. Despite what many on here believe, that station is run by proud professionals. Mistakes do in fact make them go crazy. But yes, the postgame shenanigans need to be fixed, and you’re offering a lot of excuses.
