Thread: Walk-off win helps Cajuns avoid sweep

  1. UL Baseball Walk-off win helps Cajuns avoid sweep

Small ball does it again for Cajuns in win.

There were plenty of reasons for the moment to swallow up UL senior outfielder Zach LaFleur

For starters, he was facing a tough customer in right-handed, submarine pitcher C.J. Carter with a 3-1 record, a 2.51 ERA, four saves and a .208 opponents batting average.

Small ball teams that do well usually hit well, steal well, and sacrifice well. We don't do any of those things well often.

I like the small ball Jace Conrad played. Double off the wall, ball in the pine trees, drag bunt single.
