21st-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball claimed an extra innings marathon in the opener and rallied from a five-run deficit in the nightcap to collect a 4-2 (11 inn.), 8-7 doubleheader sweep of Troy on Saturday.

Beth Ashley provided the tie-breaking run in Game 1 with a two-out, run-scoring double in the 11th inning and Aeriyl Mass tripled her home for insurance as Louisiana (20-6, 7-1 Sun Belt) broke a stalemate with Troy (17-15, 3-5 Sun Belt) that existed since the sixth inning.

The Ragin' Cajuns, who fell behind 7-2 after two innings in Game 2, completed their rally when Lexie Comeaux blasted a three-run, go-ahead home run in the sixth inning.

The sweep extended the Ragin' Cajuns current winning streak to seven games.

Louisiana picked up its 40th consecutive Sun Belt Conference series victory dating back to March 2013.
