Well its do or die period. If we don't win the Troy series, this season is a wash. These 3 games are the biggest of the season as after this weekend we would have played 22 games. At 9-11 we cant afford anymore bad series. Hoping for the best.
We're mid week champions, though.
I’m calling it now. Sweep.
Does anybody have an extra ticket for tonight?
Troy is sporting a 14-7 record and a 29 RPI. They are just 2-4 on the road, 1-2 in the conference, though. They scored just four runs in Little Rock last weekend, winning a shutout 2-0 Saturday. Lost both Friday and Sunday 1-3.
The Trojans hit and hit with power. Seven guys slugging over .413 and the team 62 has extra base hits. We have nobody slugging over .367 and just 33 total XBH. Good pitching can stop them, as Little Rock did.
We need our pitching shoes laced up tight tight.
They struggle to hit good pitching and they haven’t beaten anyone of substance.
I was recently told some encouraging news, that can be traced back to the Tulane game. Although we haven’t been destroying the ball, we’ve certainly been a better offense since that game.
Pitching should be full strength and I know Nick is chomping at the bit to bounce back from that last start.
We’ll have a decided advantage pitching wise on Sunday.
We’re at home. We’re close. And frankly, we’re due. Get your brooms ready.
