There were issues, I'm not saying this game was totally decided by being in Baton Rouge. Maybe the game is played in Lafayette and LSU still comes out with a 2 or 3 point win. But in a game where one bounce of the ball can decide victory or defeat, every advantage you can get counts, and that we're never in a position to use those advantages despite spending 30+ games this year earning them because the NCAA is inherently slanted to favor power schools with the most financial backing is why we're talking about what we're talking about.
Despite venue we likely go to wire with a healthy Gant.

Y’all need to get the video of will Wade pulling his ____ and keep it.. maybe we can show it to our next team 20 years from now that plays LSU and it might make them feel some typa way..

Middle Tennessee, for all their supposed respect, despite all statistical metrics, got left out and disrespected just like we did. The deck will always be stacked in favor of the money. If that game is played at home tonight, maybe we get that win because our guys are in their environment instead of having to go to Baton Rouge and facing a hostile crowd backing a team with the comforts of home.
I agree with most of this, but there are upsets every year and MT is making the most of theirs. Go read all over the place now on how much more exposure they have since then. Also, let's see what they do in the NIT before we compare us to them. They may go far into it and gain more respect.

My frustration is our constant failure on the big stage when we are given it. Then, stupid ___ Marlin goes and runs his mouth prior to this game and lit a fire under LSU. Then, his team craps the bed and he looks twice as bad than just a loss. Stop the damn excuses and win SOMETHING, we know how the stupid system is.

Why the fool ran his mouth all week is beyond me.

I just maybe a different personality, but I like the trash talking, they deserved it. BUT, I repeat BUT, you got to back it up.

    Their athletic length overmatched us.

He spoke the truth but I agree he should have been much more diplomatic in his comments. He should have simply said we are glad to continue playing and we won’t concern ourselves with the site. No further comment was needed. Never give your opponent bulletin board material. As long as he has done this he still fell into a trap by questions asked

Our lack of adjustments did not help either.

No he shouldn’t have. Bob said what we all know and wanted to say. I don’t fault him for one word. It’s not his fault Will Wade is a baby.

Where I fault him is not adjusting to anything LSU was doing.

I disagree. Gant was a shell of his healthy self tonight. We will never know if it would have changed outcome. Now they need to get him well. He has had this 2 weeks

If Marlin says nothing all week except that we are glad to be in the NIT, and we feel fortunate to be playing games close enough to home for our fans to travel, and I am proud of our players, who I am sure will play their hardest in this tournament; then LSU has nothing extra to motivate their players, and maybe, just maybe, they overlook us a little.

Bob took care of that by being a loudmouth idiot and calling out everyone involved, from the NCAA to the janitors at the PMAC.

And listen, guys...for everybody upset with Marlin for talking during the week, LSU was always going to get into this game. That had no impact beyond motivating Will Wade to look like a d*** at the end of the game. They say they don't care, but we all know. They looked up at that scoreboard down 10-2 and knew they had to play ball, and that would've happened regardless of what Marlin said in a press conference.
