Aaron Hill was in the bigs for a LONG time. EVERY SINGLE TIME that I would hear his name on Sportscenter, I would get an immediate blood pressure spike.

I do know of one UL baseball fan who happens to be black.... I ran into him at a football game that fall and asked what he thought of all the stuff that happened in BR..

He said Mr. Bob.... I grew up in the 60's and 70's..... I ain't never been treated even back then like I was at that regional....
it all started when Andy Gros hit Pontiff in the back with a 78 mph change up in his shut out win in the first game against them, Wally took two or three steps towards the mound on his way to first saying something to Gros.

everyone knows you wouldnt intentionally hit a guy with a change up, if you are going to throw at someone you are going to throw it as hard as you can.

Yes, and the benches cleared. Pontiff was trying to get his team fired up and both dugouts were squawking back and forth.

If it was Gros, his change up was closer to 60. His fast ball was low to mid 80's.

Giant Satchels. Yuge. And yes, it was fun to watch them. We had nearly a whole generation from 08 to 12 that had to use the youth size cup...(sans a few from the 10 class). I see us on steady pace back down to that. Jace needs to show these guys what a pair looks like...and maybe it will all start tonight.

    Edit: Major Thread Derail.

I have a co-worker with a son at lsubr. The stories I hear make my skin crawl. A lot of that place is stuck in a different world.

It was a Dan McDonald article that first suggested the two teams not play each other. Jay quickly parroted the sentiment.

Whether they planted the seed of avoidance or were just putting into media what they heard privately, I do not know, but they presented it as a suggestion.

The reality of the situation is nothing happened
