Fans across the country HATE LSU because of their fans. As these other fan bases are seeing how much our name battle bothers them, they are jumping to take our side because A) it's common sense to the outsider and B) they want to drive LSU fans nuts.

The beautiful irony in this thing is that the more LSU birches about our name, the more support we're getting. Just look around social media and see the other fan bases chiming in! It's hilarious.

So hold strong, endure the abuse and keep fighting with those idiots. We are intellectually superior anyway. Doesn't take much smarts to win an argument with a toaster.
A big reality I see in people I deal with outside of Louisiana that wasn't the case 10 and 20 years ago. When our name and other issues came up... these people only related it to something they saw in their states with "big versus little" programs. I have an enormous out of state customer (highly educated) group that doesn't see the LSU and UL thing that way now. They now see us a notch higher. And they aren't impressed with LSU. They also heavily associate the failures of our state and state government to LSU and the inbred cronyism. That doesn't mean the ignorant tank top fans around the country aren't still as stupid and blind as ever. But the educated outsider isn't impressed the least bit with our state and LSU's dominance of it. So... they're 1000 times more willing to accept a different perspective than 10 or 20 years ago.

I have had many similar experiences.

Same here - LSU is not the juggernaut they think they are - when I was living in California in the early 2000's, most PAC-12 fans thought LSU was caricature. mostly like the arrogant team in the Waterboy movie. They still do.

Same sentiments in Colorado. I always got a kick of that!

Marlin never said anyone was “scared”. But wade led on to how glad he was to win bc he couldn’t imagine what “they” would say if he would of loss. So, it was in the back of his head

Since you enclosed Wade's memorization of the 3-year rolling RPI, I will reiterate he miscalculated the Rolling RPI - it was 127, not the 138 he reported to the press, and next year it will be 110 - you won't see this in TigerDroppings or the Morning Advocate - want to guess how many LSU beat writers followed up on this?)

which by coincidence I guess is the exact rolling average of Houston given by Wade - 127. WOW

And that's what they are.... Forget this "big brother" BS... Big Brother implies family... they are not my family... They are the 15 year old 180 pound fat boy in the 5th grade bullying his classmates

    Robe don't buy-in... Marlin don't buy in...
I believe it was Arron Hills bat that went into the dugout.

First of all... we (the UL fan base) haven't been the least bit obsessed with playing LSU. Marlin has requested being scheduled, and that was all he noted... they aren't interested. As for Wade and the SEC rolling average RPI... it certainly is a guideline for scheduling. It is what they've been consulted to do in order to maintain RPI. But to pretend it's a hard and fast rule... is bogus. Some of the scheduling deals were done years in advance of the meetings. RPI can plummet in a year. It can skyrocket in a year... or even mid season.

If we cannot get a home and home... I wouldn't bother. And it isn't going to happen.

But one thing to say about Wade... I remember when Skip Bertman started scheduling us in baseball. I was already living in BR. There were influential fans furious that he "showed us respect". Bertman... a great coach and man... also an egomaniac... told every one of them... including Joe Dean... to Please and let him decide who he plays. He chastised LSU fans for worrying about who LSU plays... especially "ULL". He had the iron stones to play and take it like a man. And the greatest sports dynasty at LSU existed under him. Wade is a punk. He's a child punk. We gave him the stage to act like a punk... and he did it. He's no Skip Bertman. And although I know what's he's accomplishing in recruiting... I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he doesn't ____ in his own mess gear before his time at LSU is done. He's a punk. And punks are going to punk more than once.

Because... in the extremely simple math of RiverRanchRat...

Also, LSU baseball has way more gonads than LSU basketball

Many more games to play and need for midweek short travel scheduling opportunities

UL has more regularly been competitive in baseball as opposed to basketball
