Just over 1 minute left.....1 point behind.....a couple of thousand wearing red in the stands along with cheerleaders and pep band screaming in the purples face....100 mIllion dollar budget vs. 28 mIllion dollar budget...lol...we ain't backing down....we aren't intimidated...and yes, you are scared ____less and I find this rolling on the floor hilarious
I honestly don't care if arrogance would require for it to be played in the PMAC every year, just play the darn tournament. Playing in a hostile environment in December would just be good prep for conference play. I also threw out a bone with asking for Wade's precious 3 year rolling RPI to be used for seeding but nobody took it. If it would be played next year (using current RPI for 2018) the Cajuns would be the 1 seed with an average of 107. LSU would be the 2 with a 128, Tech would be the 3 with a 146. Guess who would be the 4 seed? ULM with an average of 206. That just shows how bad college basketball in this state currently is. 9 of the 12 D1 schools have an average RPI over 206, the median for all D1 schools is 175.5.
In case your wondering Tulane is 233 (I would hope Dunleavy keeps them on an upward trend) Nichols 238, Southeastern 244, UNO 248, Southern 277, Grambling 307, Mcnesse 317 and NW St 330.
A big reality I see in people I deal with outside of Louisiana that wasn't the case 10 and 20 years ago. When our name and other issues came up... these people only related it to something they saw in their states with "big versus little" programs. I have an enormous out of state customer (highly educated) group that doesn't see the LSU and UL thing that way now. They now see us a notch higher. And they aren't impressed with LSU. They also heavily associate the failures of our state and state government to LSU and the inbred cronyism. That doesn't mean the ignorant tank top fans around the country aren't still as stupid and blind as ever. But the educated outsider isn't impressed the least bit with our state and LSU's dominance of it. So... they're 1000 times more willing to accept a different perspective than 10 or 20 years ago.
Marlin never said anyone was “scared”. But wade led on to how glad he was to win bc he couldn’t imagine what “they” would say if he would of loss. So, it was in the back of his head
