Will the Tigers agree to play the Cajuns in the future so we won't have a "horrible schedule"? Why has it been 73 years since they played in Lafayette! They play other state schools on their home court. How is this situation good for promoting basketball in the state of Louisiana? LSU was even opposed to participating in a tournament where the two teams would not compete against each other. Even this would have been a good way to promote basketball in Louisiana. It took the NIT to bring the two teams together. Long overdue.
A 30 point lower rpi than us, helps our schedule??

    Good point!
Maybe we could drop a Nicholls or McNeese for them.

    Cajun fans:

If Louisiana wins: "We beat the Tigers on their home court with a depleted team that couldn't even make the conference finals of the Sunbelt."

If LSU wins: "Our injury ridden team, that couldn't even make the Sunbelt finals, just lost on the road to the young and highly acclaimed Will Wade and LSU Tigers."

It goes both ways...just gotta keep pushing your agenda.

Are you really that obtuse, or is it an act?

We played exactly one team this year with a better RPI than LSU. Any team we play with an RPI of about 175 or better helps our RPI significantly if we win. Top 100 or so help us win or lose, though of course winning helps much more.

UL Basketball MBB: 2018 Louisiana and LSU

Bob Marlin said "I called will wade to congratulate him when he got the job. Then I called him a few weeks later to see if he'd be interested in scheduling one another. He didn't want to."

Man these insecure, in their "flagship" status, folks sure do blow things out of proportion.

Please refrain from linking to the Wal-Mart bathroom graffiti board. We need neither their approval nor their scorn. Just ignore them.
