When you have been Caging for 108 years or so, your best 20 teams are included.

27 wins is definitely among the best.

Coach said xray was clear and doc cleared him for underwater treadmill running and some shooting

Sounds like he progressed good bit since Saturday when he couldn't breathe

    Yep.

I have been watching UL basketball since Marvin Winkler was playing. This team is decent and pretty deep, and I love watching them play, but they are not in the top 10 all time.

I guess that I’m just a little unclear about what makes UL’s tourney resume so much better than LSU’s? I see zero wins against the top 50 RPI and a strength of schedule of ~202. How many victories does UL have against RPI Top 100? Meanwhile, LSU has a half dozen or more victories against top 50 RPI teams and a strength of schedule around ~49. Is winning 25 games (D-1 level) playing a horrible schedule really better than winning 17 games against one of the nations tougher schedules? Personally, I think it’s pretty tough and similar to comparing apples to oranges. I’m just glad we get to see them settle it on the court. Good luck!
    Thanks.
Will the Tigers agree to play the Cajuns in the future so we won't have a "horrible schedule"? Why has it been 73 years since they played in Lafayette! They play other state schools on their home court. How is this situation good for promoting basketball in the state of Louisiana? LSU was even opposed to participating in a tournament where the two teams would not compete against each other. Even this would have been a good way to promote basketball in Louisiana. It took the NIT to bring the two teams together. Long overdue.

They are too insecure to allow an instate rival. They will try to keep their “power” at all costs, but what they don’t understand is it isn’t up to them anymore.

    We comin, you ____ing bastards.

If UL wins.LSU fans: “We had a mediocre team with a 1st year coach and USL had their best team ever.”
If LSU winsLSU fans: “Our avg team with a 1st year coach beat Oh la la’s best team ever with a half ___ team with an RPI almost 100. You’ll never be anything in this state.”

    Something like that?

    Cajun fans:

If Louisiana wins: "We beat the Tigers on their home court with a depleted team that couldn't even make the conference finals of the Sunbelt."

If LSU wins: "Our injury ridden team, that couldn't even make the Sunbelt finals, just lost on the road to the young and highly acclaimed Will Wade and LSU Tigers."

It goes both ways.just gotta keep pushing your agenda.
