If they lose to us it's a big gain for us, but I don't see a benefit for them to risk it. It would be fun for the fans, but I don't see LSU ever going for it. Their record doesn't mean anything to me this year, because they play better competition. If we have Stove and Gant at full health, we compete. This is going to be a tough game, but I'll be there in the stadium getting yelled at hoping they pull it off. Our recruiting would get a little easier if they win this game. Fingers are crossed!

Seeing those RPI numbers trend up is nice to see.
Have you seen the RPI of LSU's home OOC schedule? Playing us would be a huge upgrade over much of it. Beating us would help their RPI, and losing to us is not a bad loss. It is a win win deal.

We need to be prepared for anything when playing in BR. Last game I went to was in 2000something. Even our cheerleaders were dissed. They were never allowed to cheer on court level. They could not even be on court level at any time. I have seen many bb games and never experienced that.

I love all the smack talk, I am doing the same with my LSU buddies. The only thing that worries me is Marlin is making this out to be a really big game, which it is. We haven't done so well in the really big games this year, or under Marlin in general for that matter.

That's why I like to talk a lot of smack before the game, because most of the time I don't get the chance afterwards. GEAUX CAJUNS....let's give em some more of what the baseball team gave em.

Same here...i vividly remember Glenn Big Baby Davis having a fast break all alone and goes for the dunk...only to get rejected by the rim...it was fantastic...

My hopes are: 1). First that we are healthy! Respiratory issue resolved and Soves ankle is able to get him at least 25 minuets (good minutes). 2). Our TEAM and COACHES understand the magnitude of this game! 3) Louisiana FANs SHOW UP LOUD AND PROUD, and NOT Arogant and I absurd

I think NMSU also plays home and home every year with UTEP as well.

If we could do the same with LSU and Tulane or LSU and La. Tech that would be a huge benefit.

But two of those schools don't want to play us at all.

It’s a misquote. He was talking LSU in Lafayette.

The 2006 team lost in Baton Rouge in a game the Tigers won handily after one of the key Cajun guys was injured in the first half. In December of 2009, the Tigers won by two I believe. They had a nice lead but Randall Daigle got hot to make it a close game and I think he missed a chance to put us ahead within the last minute.
That 04-05 game was part of a 4 team tournament along with Tulane and LA Tech. We beat LA Tech on a Friday night and LSU beat Tulane, then the winners and losers played each other on a Sunday afternoon. If LSU wanted to host that each year I would be fine with making an annual trip to Baton Rouge, it would be great for basketball in this state.

I went to those games. That should happen more often.
