Contract has at least two years and likely three remaining.

Mike, if scheduling and road performance doesnt improve next year, there will be significant pressure from fans. Maybe not enough to get Marlin fired, but a decade with the results we have had is way more rope than any coach deserves.

Either that or March of 2021 if he got the extension I believe he did for winning the regular season title. If that happened it was part of the previous contract. Now he may be paid through June of those years as the school fiscal year may go from July 1 to July 1.

Unless things change its good to put pressure on coaches.. you never want your HC comfortable

Yep. If he can’t beat LSU or at least be competitive, then I would start a search Thursday morning. Sorry that my high expectations for the program disappoint you.

Scheduling will likely not be much different as we are required to go to SLU, UNO, and McNeese as part of agreed to contracts. I expect SLU to be strong again in the SLC as their coach has been building his program. In fact, they came out ahead of SFA for the SLC regular season title and lost a nail biter in the conference championship game. La Tech comes here and that is the only non conference home game scheduled as of now. We are trying to get into an exempt tournament to give us the opportunity to play power schools on a neutral court. I bet we play two money road games in addition to those. Other than that, I can't comment on what is planned. As far as pressure from fans go, a championship in either the regular season or tournament will negate other factors.

No one's opinion disappoints me as we all have a right to one and the freedom to express it. However, even if we get blown out Wednesday that thought won't even cross the minds of the people in charge.
