Thread: NIT

You guys act like wearing Louisiana on the front of our jerseys got us anywhere in the name game, which it didn't, or that droves of people outside of Cajun nation will be watching this game, which they won't.

Let the guys wear whatever the hell they want and just win the damn game. Most of all, I just want to get this week over with. LSU fans ruin sports for me. Let's get on with it and get it over with.

It won't matter to them that we are not at full strength. That will be seen as an excuse.

I don't care what those people think, and I am sure you don't either, but I won't claim to be the best team in the state unless and until Thursday morning I can show off my new tiger skin rug while staking claim to that title.

FYI, to anyone coming this way. Construction just started last week on a 7 mile stretch of I-10 between Highland Road and Prairieville. As of now, it is only lane shifts, but traffic has slowed down a lot over last week. It took me almost an hour to get to work one day, due to lane shifts.....I was fuming mad by the time I arrived at work.

The only slow down will be on the bridge. Adds about 3 minutes to the trip and avoid the back up from Lobdell to the bridge. Works all the time.
Go South on Hwy 1, not north. That would put you at the old bridge.

Just watch your speed on that road. It does move at least.

Good catch. I will correct in the body. Thanks

At large was never a possibility for us and certainly wasn't when we lost to LR. We've pretty much known that we would always have to win the tournament to get in. I hate the NCAA too but not sure what could be expected for at large consideration.

In regards to our seeding in the NIT, again, we lost 2 of our last 3 to not great teams. The NIT happens to have a really good field this year and we are in the middle of that. I am a little ____ed that LSU finds their way into a 3 seed with barely a winning record but that goes to show you that the committee basically took the highest rated teams not included in the NCAA and seeded them from top to bottom and then just looked at name schools and went with it. I am a little surprised that WKU actually got a better seed than Boston College though.

It's more, to me at least, that all the photos taken, and put on websites, media, newspapers, TV, etc will all have those jersey's in them.

I'm not a huge fan of the candy cane jersey's we wear in basketball. We wear Louisiana gear for everything else...wear it on Wednesday night too.

Actually I would go North to the old bridge. Then you avoid the whole mess.

When I go this route, I usually use LA 415 to get to LA 76, not LA 1.

Not worth it because you have to come back into the mess for a longer distance. Had to do the afternoon travel twice a week on weekdays a couple of years ago to arrive in BR at 5:30. The route I provided was the most consistent with the least amount of time spent in bumper to bumper. The most you are in bumper to bumper is from the "on ramp" to the Miss Bridge off of Hwy 1 and across the bridge as you exit on the bridge to Nicholson.

Bringing daughter on LSU campus tour Wednesday (where did we go wrong as parents?). So we are sticking around for the game.
