I thought with Gant catching and unfortunate bug and stove obviously not healthy they gave their best. This had nothing to do with marlin it just some people have to always be negative to be happy. Am I disappointed we didn't make the tournament you damn right but we didn't lose to a donkey team and we weren't fully healthy which we were most of the year.
The truth is the matter is, we are all way too emotional to be objective about what happened. There are plenty of things that can be dissected but I'm mentally exhausted and too disappointed to even begin that process.

    Same here.

Fans do own program And few now are advocating a change in staff. Majority of folks think they are doing a good job. Not all of course and a couple of disappointing seasons can change things.

Good point. As much as I will embrace the NIT bid. We as fans should expect a NCAA tourney bid every year in this sorry ___ basketball conference.

I agree the one bid for the mid major leagues is killing interest in the sport. All the focus on the NCAA tournament also hurts interest in many P5 schools until conference tournament time. Simple solution is that all schools less than 0.500 in their conference should be ineligible for an at large.

P5 and G5 classification killed NCAA basketball regular season.

Teams playing for title tomorrow have starting talent as good as most mid majors in the country. Better than ours in fact. Our advantage was our depth. Health issues prevented us from having that today. I am also still hurting, not for me or us here but for the guys on team. I am sure staff had lots od consoling to do this evening.

There is no doubt they are hurting more than any of us as fans. Bryce, Stove, Bartley and a few others are the main reason I came to the games this season. The wins were just icing on the cake for me, but watching those guys embrace the transfers and make this team better was something special to watch. They are all completely unselfish.

Every one of those goals has been attained over the last 10 year period by MTSU. No valid reason we should be worse.
    I concur.
Expecting an NCAA win once every 5 years, is that too much to ask? We need our players to be better and our coaching to be better. Or, we need to get better ones. Why can't we aspire to better expectations? We should win more often than any other team in this conference. We have the facilities and the resources. The only thing lacking is the results.

I'm upset now but looking back this has been a special season. 1 out of 8 isn't good. or even mediocre. But I would say our program is in a good place to be competitive and truly compete for championships.
Until very very recently, marlin was very vocal about “only thing that matters is 3 games in March” it’s not a discussion, he is on record.
