I agree. With the circumstances and everything going against this team they could easily have folded with 5-7 minutes left in the game. They didn’t. They fought.
Miller, bad shot selection and all, put this team on his shoulders and laid it all on the line.
Today the Cajuns were the team that were worn out at end of game rather than The Cajuns wearing down the opponent as we are used to watching.
I'm proud of our basketball team.
considering the programs history, facilities, conference. I think we should get 20+wins every year. regular season at least 1 out of 3 years and NCAA tourney bid every 3 or 4 years. regular season champs/NCAA tourney doesn't necessarily have to come in package deal as long as system is the same as in place now. You could be a great team like this year and not get into NCAA tourney or like when EP and Shawn got into the tourney with "3 games in march"
The fact that some coaches are rewarded year in and year out for rarely or never winning a championship is what is baffling.
Good luck next year .
I have had a few hours to think about this and have calmed down.
Do y'all really think we would have won in the first round of the NCAA? Hell no.
What NCAA tournament worthy team have we beat? Every top 100 team we folded.
NIT maybe where we belong this year and maybe we get some victories in the NIT. When is the last time we won a NIT game? Much less a NCAA tourney game. Congrats to the team for winning the regular season championship.
Would be nice with our RPI to be rewarded with a home NIT game.
You beat no one all year!!!!You were SUN WORST regular season chumps...play someone why don't you!!!Stop complaining...your team has no discipline!!!!
I wouldn't have bet against this Cajun team, if HEALTHY, as a 12 seed in the first round.
A 13 seed was probably likely as well but still don't think it would have been a route depending on the opponent. This is of course when the three point shot is falling for Cajuns.
