    Yes, you are quite confused.

I saw the same. But what I really see is a team that knows it can’t hit, so every inning is a grind. On both ends. Grind to be perfect on defense and grind to somehow get offense going.

    Has to be mentally taxing..

Word on the street, and not from RP, is that players on the team do not “care for” Talbot. Hard to get guys to buy into your hitting philosophy like that.

Yea nothing comes easy for these guys. Especially hitting the ball with any kind of authority or in the gap. I watch a lot of college baseball, and I’ve taken note of simple most of these guys approach is at the plate. Short quick compact swings and it produces results we would die to have

While I don’t find that hard to believe....I’ve yet to see Talbot get in the batters box. Talbot don’t swing or not swing. At some point the guy in the box gotta get it done. Period. Idc if u believe in your coaches philosophy or don’t. You as a hitter gotta get it done. And you as a hitter gotta do what makes u successful.

Don’t get me started. I’m angry, we’ve had a tough day and I’m drinking.. I’ll start unloading the treasure trove in this whole JT situation...

Short version is, a cleaning of house needs to take place..

Year 4. Almost exclusively Talbot recruits and JUCO transfers.

I watched that man stand in a room and tell me Todd Lott was a natural hitter and that Lott was the best hitter they scouted NATIONWIDE..

Yet in his sophomore year, Lott can’t beat out a RS freshmen body builder for a DH spot.

There are several layers to what is going on.

At this point I would rather Robe tell Talbot to kick rocks and let Conrad be the interim hitting coach. At least they would have some fire while in the batter’s box!

I am sure Maggard, along with the big money baseball donors, could get a hitting coach here to support’s Robe’s always stellar pitching staff by next season.
